THESE 20' OR 40' CONTAINERS ARE APPLICABLE FOR SHIPPING HOUSEHOLD/PERSONAL/ COMMERCIAL GOODS OR FOR SHIPPING VEHICLES
3 Methods for Container Shipping:
1. Live Load - We drop off the container at your door. You get two hours free loading time, with any additional time needed to load at $65.00 an hour. The trucker will wait until you have finished loading and securing your goods in the container. When you are finished, the container will be returned to the shipping terminal.
2. Drop Off - If applicable, we drop off the container at your door, you get 2 or 3 days (or a weekend) to load and secure your goods in the container, and when you are finished, we will pick up the full container and return it to the shipping terminal.
3. Warehouse/Terminal Loading - If applicable, you deliver your goods or vehicle or both to the closest receiving warehouse/terminal to you. Once your goods are received, they will be loaded and secured in the container and delivered to the shipping terminal.
SHIPPING HOUSEHOLD/PERSONAL GOODS You pack all small items well in any good, clean boxes and wrap big items or furniture in moving blankets or plastic. If you have everything packed and ready to go when the container is delivered to your door, and if you and 3 to 5 friends help you load and secure your goods within the container, it shouldn't take you more than 2 or 4 hours at the most to finish loading and securing your goods in the container. You can buy rope and use the hooks inside the container to secure your goods from moving and shifting during the voyage. Also, don't forget to make a packing list of what will be shipped in the container.
SHIPPING HOUSEHOLD/PERSONAL GOODS WITH A VEHICLE You pack all small items well in any good, clean boxes and wrap big items or furniture in moving blankets or plastic. You will need a 40' container for shipping a vehicle, furniture, and boxes of household/personal goods. A 20' container is applicable when you want to ship a vehicle and some boxes of household/personal goods. Depending on the size of your vehicle, whatever you can fit, including furniture, in the container is okay, but space will be limited in a 20' container. You can also pack belongings in the vehicle itself and the trunk of the vehicle. There are 2 possible methods when shipping household/personal goods with a vehicle - 1. If applicable, a 40' container (20' container not applicable) is delivered to your door, either live load or drop off method, where you load and secure your furniture and boxes of household/personal goods within the container, leaving room for your vehicle (bumper to bumper), plus a couple of extra feet. Once that is finished, the container will be picked up and brought to the closest receiving warehouse to you. You will also deliver your vehicle to this receiving warehouse. We will then load and secure your vehicle into the container with your household/personal goods - previously loaded by you, and deliver the container to the shipping terminal. Also, the gas level has to be less than 1/8 a tank of gas. 2. If applicable, you deliver your packed and wrapped household/personal goods and vehicle to the closest receiving/loading warehouse to you. Your belongings and vehicle will be loaded and secured in the 20' or 40' container and then delivered to the shipping terminal. Also, the gas level has to be less than 1/8 a tank of gas.
SHIPPING A VEHICLE We can accomodate and ship most types of vehicles, including, but not exclusive to automobiles, sport utility vehicles (SUVs), mini-vans, full-size vans, pick-up trucks, motorcycles worldwide. We offer container shipping for your vehicle. Your vehicle will stay inside a locked container which will only be opened once it has reached the destination country. To ensure total protection and peace of mind, you can opt to cover your car with full Marine Insurance. To ship you need the original title of the vehicle. Also, there can be no gas in the vehicle. The gas tank has to be less than 1/8 a tank of gas. Batteries need to be disconnected while loading in the container. If your vehicle is shipped in a personal 20' or 40' container, then you may put some boxes of household/personal goods in the vehicle and the trunk of the vehicle.
LCL
With less than container load shipments, you deliver your household, personal, or commercial goods to the Receiving & Loading Warehouses/Terminals in the USA, where they will be shipped to your destination port overseas. For the closest receiving and loading warehouse to you, please check the list on the We offer a port to port service for shipping less than container loads. In certain areas we can offer door to port service depending on location and accessibility. We also provide weekly sailing! When you have a shipment that consists of boxes or small items and doesn't include big items or furniture, your goods will be palletized. However, if you have big items or furniture to ship as well as some boxes, then your furniture and big items must be crated. If you ship 4 boxes or less, then your goods do not need to be palletized.
PALLETIZING Everything must be packed well in any good, clean, strong boxes, suitcases, trunks, and/or plastic bins. Make sure to tape the boxes, etc. closed. You can use duffel bags if what you pack inside is not fragile in any way. Also, label two sides of each box, etc. with the booking number we will provide you with, as well as your name and address overseas. When you deliver your packed goods to the receiving and loading warehouse closest to you, your boxes will be palletized, and then measurements are taken of the whole pallet or pallets. The palletizing fee is per pallet, and the shipping fee is determined per cubic foot, not by weight. Your boxes, etc. will be stacked on a pallet, as many as can fit. Then the whole thing is shrink wrapped with plastic (palletizing). The size of the base pallet is about 42" by 40" and it can be stacked up to about 4 to 5 feet high. Palletizing is used to keep all the boxes, etc. together and also enables loading and unloading of your shipment with a forklift. Once your boxes, etc. are palletized, the shipment will be placed into a dry, sealed, metal container and delivered to the shipping terminal.
CRATING Crating is necessary when you have furniture or big items to send and maybe some boxes of household, personal, or commercial goods as well. You pack all small items well in any good, clean, strong boxes and wrap big items or furniture in moving blankets or plastic to prevent dirt and scratches. When you deliver your packed and wrapped goods to a receiving and loading warehouse, a custom-made solid, wooden crate will be made for your precious valuables or furniture/big items to survive their long journey without a scratch. It is the best thing to do for furniture and very valuable goods. Please call us for a quote today.
