Q.: Which countries does Atlantic Express ship to?
A.: At present, our company can ship and deliver to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, and Russia.
Q.: How long does it take for the package to reach its destination?
A.: Atlantic Express offers two ways of shipping your packages: via air (fast delivery) and via surface. Air shipments usually take from 1 to 2 weeks to reach the destination, while regular shipments might take from 6 to 12 weeks. The shipping time depends on many different factors, such as the location of the agent you choose, the situation from our carriers’ side, and the time it takes local customs to clear your shipment. Q.: What are the requirements for the package?
A.: Knowing the value of your package is the main requirement. In order to avoid paying import tariffs, the value of your package cannot exceed the set limits. Each individual country establishes those limits. According the rules and regulations imposed by the EU, noncommercial packages to Lithuania, with the value less or equal to 45 Euro (about $50 dollars), are custom duty free. Q.: What cannot be shipped?
A.: The following items are illegal to ship in any time of packages:
- narcotics and other psychotropic materials;
- explosive, radioactive, easy burning materials;
- inappropriate and indecent effects;
- live animals;
- things that are illegal in country of destination;
- effects that due to their nature or packaging may pose a threat to postal workers, may stain or ruin other packages and postal equipment;
- very important and urgent documents;
- coin, currency, checks, and other valuable documents; also platinum, gold, and silver products, precious stones, jewelry as well as other priceless effects.
In addition to the items mentioned above, individual countries may have their own restrictions. Some other limitations may apply when shipping via air. To learn more about the restrictions and limitations, please contact our main office at 1-800-775-7363.
Q.: Is my package insured?
A.: Every package is insured for $50 dollars. If requested by a customer, parcels can be insured for a larger amount for an additional fee. In that case, only the larger insurance policy will apply.
Q.: What do I have to do to send my packages?
A.:
- Bring your parcel directly to our local agent. A complete list of all our agents is available in the “AGENTS” section.
- Request for your parcel to be picked up from you house. However, usually this service requires an extra fee and is not available in all regions. Please call our main office or your local agent to find out more.
- Send your package to our main office via UPS, FEDEX, USPS or any other shipping company. We are located at 8801 S. 78th Ave, Bridgeview, IL 60455. Please make sure you include the full name, address and the phone number of the receiver. Also, let us know what your package consists of and how you want your parcel to be shipped.
